It doesn't matter if you're not in the best shape of your life. It doesn't even matter if you're no longer as young as you wish you were. Yoga is non-discriminatory. We've all seen the videos of people using yoga to help recover their health and fitness and recapture that youthful spirit we seem to lose with age. These are fantastic stories of strong-willed individuals making a change in their lives for the better - and they're not the only ones. Millions of people around the world are discovering how powerful and deeply moving yoga can be. It's not just about stretching and becoming more flexible. Yoga aligns the body and mind, and awakens a self-awareness that tends to get lost in the static of our stress-filled lives.
If you find yourself wondering if yoga is for you, don't! It is for you. If even just a simple meditation practice to help relax after a long day, or to begin your day with clear intention, yoga is about unity. Unity of the mind, body, and spirit. Unity of individuals, coming together to share and build each other up. Mahatma Gandhi's inspiring challenge to "be the change you want to see in the world" is at the core of what we're trying to accomplish at AlchemYoga.
If you're new to yoga or are just becoming interested, we want to do everything we can to help you on your journey. Send us your questions via our Contact page or any of our social networks. Be sure to check out our collection of asana posts and follow the construction of our pose library.
We offer all kinds of information to help you live a healthier, more fulfilling life. Changing your life requires changing your lifestyle. This includes eating right, exercising, and practicing mindfulness. When these areas of life improve, good things happen and we begin attracting happiness and fulfillment into our lives.
